AI in KlipVault

AI is in early access: it is switched on for some accounts while KlipVault is invite-only. KlipVault works fully without it. If your account has it, this is where you turn it on.

   Open Settings, then AI suggestions, and switch on Suggest tags with AI 1.

The other switches

• Suggest on save: everything you save one at a time (pasted, from the extension, shared from your phone) gets AI's suggestions by itself. Imports and syncs don't.
• Weekly Rediscover email: once a week, a topic from your own videos you haven't played here. Off until you switch it on.

What is sent, and where

• AI goes through OpenRouter. When you press Suggest with AI, that item's title, caption, channel, your note and its link go to Anthropic's Claude. Never the video or the picture.
• Search by meaning sends each item's title, channel, part of its caption and your note once to OpenAI's embedding model, and again only when they change. So do the words you type into search.
• Key points on a link read the page itself, and its text goes the same way.

AI suggestions in Settings lists exactly what your features send, and the privacy policy has the whole list.

Limits

AI has a daily and a monthly limit. When one is reached, AI stops and says so: the daily one resets at midnight, the monthly one on the 1st (UTC). Settings shows how many items AI has answered this month.

Remove what AI added

Switching AI off deletes nothing. To take AI's tags off, with its categories and summaries, press Remove all AI tags in Settings. Tags you added yourself stay.
