Follow a channel, playlist or website
New videos from YouTube and new articles from blogs and news sites arrive by themselves, in New.
Copy the channel's link from YouTube, such as youtube.com/@name, or a playlist's.
In KlipVault, press Save and paste it, or paste it into Settings → Following. A card shows the channel's picture, its name and its newest video.
Choose what comes in: Leave out Shorts, Filter by words, and a folder under Also file them in if you want one.
Press Follow this channel. Only videos published from now on come in, unless you tick Also bring in its latest videos now.
A blog or news site
Paste the site's address into Settings → Following: KlipVault finds its feed (RSS or Atom) and shows its newest article. A feed's own address (ending in /feed, /rss or .xml) also works in Save. Press Follow this site: its new articles arrive as links in Links, in New there, and a folder you choose must be a Links folder. Each article brings its picture when the feed has one. A Bluesky account is followed the same way, or straight from Save: paste its profile (bsky.app/profile/…) or type its handle (@name.bsky.social), and its new posts arrive in Posts. A site with no feed cannot be followed, and neither can X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or LinkedIn: they publish no feed, so save their posts one by one in Save. What can I follow? under the answer lists it all.
New
Followed videos land in New, at the top of the sidebar in Videos. They wait there until you file one into a folder, archive it or play it. Mark all as seen empties New and keeps the videos in your library.
Change or stop following
Settings → Following lists what you follow, when each was last checked and how many videos it brought in. Its ⋮ menu has:
- Check now: look for new videos in a minute or so.
- Edit…: change the filters or the folder, for the next videos.
- Open on YouTube.
- Unfollow: new videos stop coming in. The videos already in stay.
- KlipVault looks for new videos about every two hours, in YouTube's public feed. No YouTube account is needed, and nothing is shared with YouTube.
- A video you deleted never comes back.
- A playlist is followed from its first 15 videos: a video added further down shows only once it moves up.
- Your plan sets how many you can follow: 10 on Free.
