A video won't play
What the messages mean, and what to do when a video won't play in KlipVault.
KlipVault plays YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok videos itself. Each site decides what it lets other sites show, so some videos play only on their own site. KlipVault then says why, with a button to Open on that site.
What the message means
- This reel uses a licensed song: Instagram plays reels with licensed music only on Instagram.
- This has content Facebook won't let other sites show: usually music or film rights.
- …won't show this here: it may be private, or deleted: only its owner, or nobody, can see it now.
- This item cannot be played here: the site gave no reason. On YouTube this is often a video whose uploader turned off playing on other sites, or one blocked in your country.
In each case press Open on to watch it there. See Videos that only play on Facebook or Instagram.
Other things that look like a problem
- A Facebook video waits with Click or tap the video to play it with sound. Your browser wants one press inside the video before it plays sound.
- A TikTok video first asks whether TikTok may use cookies. That question is TikTok's own: answer it once, and the video plays. If it then waits, press play inside it.
- In a playlist, a video that can't play is skipped, and a line says which one and why.
- Any other link (an article, a recipe) isn't a video KlipVault plays: it opens on its own site.
