What others share with you
Invitations, things sent to you, and the playlists and folders you were let into, in one place.
Everything shared with you is on one page, Shared with you. On a computer, open it from your account menu, or with ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows). On a phone, a notification takes you there.
- Waiting: invitations to you, with Accept and Decline, and your own asks to join, with Take back.
- Sent to you: what people sent you, with their note. Save to my library saves it to your Unfiled.
- Playlists and Folders: the ones you were let into.
Shared playlists also appear on your Playlists page, and shared folders in the sidebar under Shared with you.
Notifications
The bell at the top shows invitations, asks to join, who joined and with which right, a change to your right, videos added to a shared playlist or folder, and things sent to you. Press one to go there. Preview on an invitation shows its first videos before you answer, and when videos are added to something you keep a copy of, Add to my copy brings them into it. Read notifications are removed after 90 days.
Keep your own copy
- In a shared playlist, Save a copy makes a playlist of your own with its videos, which go into your library under Unfiled. Later, Update my copy adds what is new.
- To keep one video, open its ⋯ and choose Save to my library.
- Your copy stays yours, whatever happens to the shared one.
Leave
In a shared playlist, press People, then Leave on your own row. The videos you added stay in it, and the owner isn't told.
